Practice Commitments & 2026 Regulatory Updates
The 2026 amendments enhance safeguards around clinical practice, patient autonomy, and transparency. My sole practice fully guarantees the following policies:
- Chaperones & Patient Advocates: Your absolute comfort, emotional safety, and personal dignity are paramount. You have the right to a chaperone during any consultation, physical examination, or treatment session. You are always welcome to bring a family member, trusted friend, or independent advocate into the clinical room with you. If you would like me to arrange a formal chaperone, please let me know prior to or at the start of your appointment.
- Clear Fees & Informed Choice: All treatment costs, prospective clinical management plans, and associated risks will be explained transparently before any care begins. There are no hidden fees or unexpected charges.
- Patient Feedback & Reflection: I actively collect patient feedback as part of my ongoing professional reflection and quality assurance framework. If you have any insights, constructive critiques, or reflections about your treatment journey, please share them with me directly so I can continuously optimize my care but you can also send comments anonymously by using the notepaper and posting comments in the box in the waiting arrear.
Complaints Procedure
I always strive to deliver an exceptional standard of personalized care. However, if you have a concern or feel that your expectations have not been met, I want to address it immediately, openly, and constructively.
How to Raise a Concern
Step 1: Informal Resolution
In most instances, clinical concerns can be resolved swiftly through open communication. Please raise any issues directly with me by emailing mikki_kaina@yahoo.co.uk or phoning 07920 519055. I will listen carefully and work to fix the issue immediately.
Step 2: Formal Written Complaint
If we cannot resolve the matter informally, you can submit a formal complaint in writing to Mikki Senior, Corser House, 17 Green End, Whitchurch, Shropshire, SY131AD. I will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 5 working days.
- I will thoroughly review your clinical records and provide a comprehensive, transparent written response within 15 working days.
Step 3: External Regulatory Escalation
If you remain unsatisfied with my direct response, or if the nature of your concern involves serious breaches of professional conduct, safety, or ethics, you have the right to escalate the matter directly to the industry regulator. You can access guidance on how to raise a formal case by visiting the official General Chiropractic Council ‘Raise a Concern’ portal (https://www.gcc-uk.org/).

For your total peace of mind and protection, I maintain comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance through the Scottish Chiropractic Association. Additionally, this practice is fully registered and compliant with UK data protection legislation (GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018), ensuring that your medical notes and personal files remain entirely private, secure, and confidential.
